We obey all hunting laws and regulations in South Africa and always respect our quarry, using the correct caliber of weapons and shooting at a reasonable range. This means when you pull the trigger, you’re sure you are going to hit and kill the animal you’re aiming at. Your experienced Professional hunter will guide and support you throughout your journey with us to give you the best experience possible.
While we use our well-appointed hunting vehicles to access hard-to-reach places on the ranch, we also abide by the principles of fair chase and do not allow any shots from vehicles at any time. Our ethical practice extends to finding and recovering a wounded animal. Please note that all wounded animals are payable in full, and your accompanying Professional hunter will have the final say regarding whether the animals are wounded.
Safety is a cornerstone of our hunting practice. We follow a strict weapons handling protocol, and all weapons are fully secured in lock-up safes when not in use. Our hunts are also carefully managed for safety, so if there is more than one hunter on the property, they will be hunting in different areas. The professional hunter looks after your safety and the safety of the trackers. If he deems it unsafe, you may not participate in the chase.
After the hunt, nothing goes to waste. Harvested animals are expertly processed on-site, and all parts of the animal (surplus to your trophy) will be used, including by our chef, who will prepare your selection of cuts in our kitchen or roast them over an open fire.
We care about the wellbeing of our animals and land and recognize our responsibilities to wildlife, habitat, and future generations. Our wildlife roam freely over the ranch, managed according to an evidence-based approach informed by facts and science. We do not hunt female wild animals with dependent offspring.
